May 12th is the National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day.On May 12th,2008,a destructive earthquake occurred in Wenchuan,Sichuan,causing heavy casualties and property losses.In order to further enhance the awareness of disaster prevention and reduction among the whole people and promote the improvement of disaster prevention,reduction and relief work,with the approval of the State Council,May 12th of each year has been designated as the"National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day"since 2009.This year,May 12th is the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day in my country,with the theme of"Enhancing grassroots emergency response capabilities and building a solid people's defense line for disaster prevention,reduction and relief".Many provinces and cities across the country organized various forms of science and technology publicity activities on this day.At the invitation of the customer unit,our emergency communication products were unveiled at the Xinjiang Emergency Management Department.
